The officers at that timejlected were placed in office for as -long as their services would be to c,he good of the band or until a vol. ntary withdrawal from office.The officers elected were;President, Letterio Brrigo. • ^Manager, J. McKinley is known 'hroughout the Pittsburgh district nd also this county as a mUsiriqn -of great talent, and thd Crescent' Band has been fortunate in securing' him as a director.Assistant Director Tony DeMarco has been, until recently, connected with' the best concert bands of the country, spending the last season in Kilanjolo’s Concert Band: • 'Solo Trumpeter H, S. Gassier was the director of the (famouB Buckti'- I University Band until he located in Curwensville.' •Assisted-, Trumpeter Lawrence Girardi v. as in the Detroit Axle • Company Band until' December 15,. 1920.Several other members are not natives of Curwensville, but have been called to that town by the Crea-' cent Refractories Company in order to give the company one of the bestr •bands in the state.
