Hessdaib, Feb. 9.—There was a dime social given at the Baptist church Wed-nesday evening for the benefit of Key. Basmussen. and Rev. Cuminmgs. the Evangelist fro^j Deleyan who bas been been holding revirai meetings here, ibe exercises we*e unusually interesting. Some of the principal features were asfollows: Singing by iliss Flora Cnap.n of Buffalo and Rev. Cummings of Dele-van, recitation l.y Louis3- Wiley. Three little bovs from the village whose names ■were not learned, gave a song. Florence Cbapin read splendid story which was well received; then singing. This was followed bv a recitation by Miss Blanche Bandfield.*It was a comic selection, and was delivered in a winning manner.bne was so heartily applauded that she responded bv speaking a temperance selection, which was very nice. The proceeds amounted to §10. Mrs.Roy lor-rev of Buffalo is the guest of her motherMrs. M. Cook. Both democrats andrepublicans have some very good candidates on their tickets. E. N. Norton is the democratic candidate for supervisorand Edgar Tates the republican. TheLadies Aid society met with Mrs. A. E. Zselson lest Wednesday.
