Cornells*s winning word was * Amphibious/ Nathan Cornell will compete In the Lubbock Avalanche-Joumal Regional Spelling Bee on March 5th in the International Cultural Center of Texas Tech. Melanie Mayo (far right,) 4th grader, was the runner up in the spelling bee. AH of the contestants in the spelling bee are as follows: (front row, left to right) Nathan Cornell, Luke Hancock, 5th grade; Ryker Allison, 5th grade; Melanie Mayo, 4th grade; (back row) Lindsey Click, 8th grade; Emilio Mojica, 8th grade.
