K11 lough and daughter, M iss Retta E iHough. spent last Thursday here with friends.Robert Johnson Is doing carpenter work on the Tinney ranch, near Granite Hill.Mr. Irwin arrived from Healdsburg Monday evening to spend some time with his son, Harvey IrwinWill Veerkamp and his mother, and Mrs. J. H. Gallagher, spent Sunday with Fred Veerkamp, in Lotus.Among those from the outside neighborhoods who attended the public Installation of the Odd Fellow and Rebekah Lodges In PlacerviUe on Saturday, were Mr. and Mrs. E. E. De Lory, Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Thole. Mrs. E. Uhlenkamp, Mrs. Joseph Papin 1, Miss Sophia Veerkamp, Miss Maud Veerkamp. Miss Annie Thomas, Chas. Schulze, Fred Thomas, Volari Lombardi, Marshall Dunk urn. Le Roy Thomas, and James Balderson.Jan. 25, 1910.Miss Sophia Veerkamp spent the week-end vacation at her home in Granite Hill.Leonard Thomas came up from Fair Oaks last Friday, fora visit with Mr. and Mrs, A. W. Norris.Miss Annie rP10mas visited a few days of last week with Mrs.. If. C. Pratt, at the Cambrian mine.Rev. W. E. Coffman held services here last Sunday evening, announcing the next meeting for the evening or February 12th, and extending a cordial invitation to all to attend this, and also all succeeding .services.Mr. Coffman will attend tlie Sunday School Convention in PlacerviUe tomorrow, and the Sunday School Institute in session in Sacramento the rest of the week.Sutter Mill. Rebekah Lodge, No. 114, had it’s installation of officers on the 25th of January, with about forty members of the Lodge in attendance The meeting was particularly interesting, as a part of it was the initiation into the order of two young ladies. At the conclusion of the lodge work, the sisters and brothers gathered In the banquet room to enjoy the bountiful supper provided, and thus passed one of tlie many pleasant gatherings of this lodge.
