C. A. Clendenning of Detroit, Mich, is visiting- with his parents at Pettysville this week. He expects to return Monday. While in Detroit Mr. Clenden-ning is employed as cook in a restaurant. In the evenings be | teaches a class in oratory. This is the spirit we like to see, and itis the spirit that always comes out on top at last. Mr. Clenden-ning is a graduate in oratory of the Marion, Ind. college, and iscjuite an adept in the art of making men glad or sorrowful according to the occasion.
