list radio show talenNEWFOUNDLAND — Two bands and many entertainers will be featured during the marathon radio broadcast and dinner which will emanate live from the Country Hearth at Blueberry Hill, Route 191, South Sterling, on February 6 from 1 to 8:30 pjm.Sponsored by the Greene -Dreher Woman’s Club in cooperation with Radio Station WIOK, the dinner broadcast will benefit the $30,000 fund drive of the Newfoundland Theatre •League, Inc.Hie drive is currently under way to underwrite operational and maintenance expenses ofthe new theatre - auditorium-library which is to be presented to the community by the Emily Oreamuno Foundation for one dollar a year.Hosted by “Pon” Henry, WICK personality, the program will follow the regular broadcast lines, with the addition of local talent gathered by Jeanne Madden Martin, radio and motion picture actress, who is a native of Scranton and a resident of Hollisterville.First on the program will be The Novas, an instrumental group from Moscow, including three teenage boys and a girl.They are Jeff Partyka, 15, lead guitar and vocalist, and a student at North Pocono Joint High School; Gus Stangline, 18, organ, a graduate of NPHS; Joe Kolodjeski, 17, drums, a student at Technical High School; and Bev Beavers, 15, bass guitar, a student at NPHS.The group plays for teen dances and at local resorts, and will appear at the CountryHearth from 1 to 2 p.m.For the 2:30 to 3:30 segment of the broadcast, there will be two features. The first will be the Ski Sisters, a vocal group from Hamlin.They are two sets of sisters, Carol and Susan Romanski and Karen and Mary Ellen Krom-posky, ranging in age from 10 to 15 years.They have been singing together for the past year, and appeared in the Holisterville Circus Minstrel of 1965. They have also appeared in the Orphans and Crippled Children’s Christmas program, and at other social benefit shows.John David Strupcewski, winner of the Wayne County Talent Show, is a triple threat performer, with talents on the drums, trumpet and vocal.A pint * sized performer, John David is a student at the Wal-lenpaupack Area Joint Schooland is following in the footsteps of his parents, John and Lucille Strupcewski, both musicians., The 4 to 5 p.m. dinner hour will feature Jeanne Madden Martin and John Antidormi in a program of songs. Mrs. Margin is a coloratura soprano who 'has appeared in concerts, opera and oratorio, on stage, radio and screen.She was starred on stage with Waiter Huston in “Knickerbocker Holiday,” and with Dick Powell in “Stage Struck” in Hollywood.Antidormi is a lyric tenor who started his formal training in voice while serving in the U.S. Army Ski Patrol. He studied under Helen Shaffer, of the Scranton Conservatory, and currently is concentrating on work 1 with Norbert Betty.He sings with the Catholic Club of Scranton, and the Scran- lt;ton Opera Company. He and Mrs. Martin have appeared together on many programs and are especially known for theirscenes from opera.Christine Crecca and Lucille Strupcewski are starred for the 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. dinner hour. .Miss Crecca is a 17-year-old 1 Lake Ariel native who is a student at Western Wayne Joint • School. She has been studying voice for nine years, and sings with the Scranton Opera Company and the Catholic Choral Club.Mrs. Strupcewski, who started singing professionally at the age or 13, and had her own radio show when she was 14, has . toured with Henry Ball, Mickey Savage, Billy Jones and Charley Masters Bands.She has also danced professionally and formerly had her own school of the dance in Newfoundland.The windup of the show will feature Ralph Wert, formerly a banjoist and soloist with the Morell Bohemian Orchestra, and George Newell, of LaAnna, singing old time songs with banjo accompaniment; Miriam Cron Jones, well - known local vocalist who has been soloistwith the combined church choirs and who has sung on many occasions in this area, and the Hal Hannon Trio, with Hal Hannon on the electric guitar; Dick Cihon, on the cordovax; and Hal Hannon, Jr., on the drums.The trio has played on radio and television, and have toured
