Monte Carlo Ballet At County Center Feb. 18After a lapse of eight years, the famed Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo will return to the Westchester County Center in White Plains on Friday evening, February 18.The record - breaking tour this season marks the company’s Tenth Anniversary under the aegis of Sergei J. Denham. To mark this anniversary he has had new scenery made for many of the ballets in the repertoire as well as new costumes. From the twenty-eight productions in the repertoire three will be selected for the performance here.Alexandrea Danilova, recognized as the greatest of contemporary ballerinas, is again at the head of the company. Sharing top honors with her is Frederick Franklin, Maitre de Ballet and Premier Danseur of the company. Others in principal dancing roles include Nathalie Krassov-ska, Leon Danielian, Ruthanna Boris, Mary Ellen Moylan, Roman Jasinsky and Robert Lindgren. There is also a corps de ballet of forty members.Representing the best of the traditional arts associated with the ballet as handed down from generation *r generation, the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo is recognized by critics and public alike as the most distinguished ballet company appearing before the public today.
