WCEC Announces New ProgramA veteran nationwide entertainer will begin a daily ^ hour program on Radio Station WCEC on Monday.Frank Rice of Wilson will present “The Mustard Show” at 1 p.m. Monday through Saturday on the local station. Rice was the character “Mustard” in the singing and comedy team of Mustard and Gravy* which began in 1933 with Ernest Stokes of Wilson.time“BigtheWCEC Program Director Sammy Bland announced Rice’s program this week. “The Mustard Show” will fill the slot filled by Bland s Station Musical Hall” for past eight years.Rice will play country music and do commercials from his “country kitchen” studio in Wilson. Bland said. Faro will be a character on the show. Rice will plav the part of Faro.Rice has stopped his 31-year-old show on Radio Station WGTM in Wilson in order to broadcast on WCEC. Parker s current job is promoting Elvis Presley.The Arnold show took Mtard and Gravy on personalappearances tours around the United States. In Hollywood they made Western movies, including the Durango Kid series.
