Ha* Jan. MeetingMrs. Lonnie Anderson was hostess recently to the Ladies Aid ofthe First Baptist church (colored) at her home at 410 Bullard Avc.President of the group Mrs. Charity Thompson, presided. Taking part on the program were Mr*.Ruth Inzar and Mrs. Elizabeth McDowell.After the program the hostessserved a delicious four-course chicken dinner. The table wasdecorated with an arrangement ofgladioli. |Mrs. Mamie Smith expresied the appreciation of the group tothe hostess for her hospitality. The next meeting will be held in i the home of Mr*. Elizabeth McDowell the second Sunday in February.Member* attending the meeting*were: Mmes. Ruth Inzar, DaisyPitkins, Mamie Smith, Lessie Kemp, Naomi Maultsby, Charity Hawkins, Cora Rogers, Sadie McMillan, Jessie Jones, and Elizabeth McDowell, and Misses Martha Moore, Minnie Powell, andMinnie McCoy.
