INSTITUTE3AKDCKKEK TO WXftRfP.The teacher* of Sandcreek township held tlieir fifth institute at Lttt’s Corner, Saturday, Jan. 21. Teachers present ; H. II. King, Mrs. Davis, Miss Tanner, Miss Small, Mies Meredith, Miss Dixon, Cbafi. Cunningham, Jno, Eddleman, F. L. Dixon, Ira Scripture, and D, B. Cunningham. Visiting teachers: Messrs. Higgs and Jones. Our trustee. Mr. Armstrong, ws*s present in the forsuoorii(Ktal^Siu^ ^fia by singing, af-hh.cu Mr. Cunningham read ajtvery interesting paper on David Cnp-perfield. Mrs. Davis gayeusher method oi conduocing Friday atternoonwork. Lively discussions followed.The remaining subjects were well presented and thoroughly diseussed.The subjects for next institute were assigned aa follows:Paper, poems of Bryant or Lowell, Jno. Eddleman; history, Ira Scripture and Miss Dixon; arithmetic, F. L. Dix on and Chas. Cunningham; Final examination, G. W. Moore and Miss Tanner; Geography.
