Two hundred and fifty pnopln jammed the Pmnt Pleasant Fire Hall recently for the fifth annual Community Christmas Party for Children, sponsored by the ladies auxiliary of the Point Pleasant Fire Company. For the fifth year, Mrs, Roland Cook, a past president, served on the committee with Mrs, Frank Foiler and Mrs. Charles Chaney.An hour's entertainment, each year different, preceded Santa's arrival This year, the committee assembled a variety show, which was well-received by theentire audienceSanta Claus, portrayed by Harrison Gift, of Doylestown, distributed candy and games to 150 of those present, beginning withthe youngest and ending with the 12-year old youngsters. A Christmas tree adorned one corner of the hall. Mrs, F.dith Walter served as pianist for the occasion with Mrs. Miriam Montgomery also an accompanist.A big hit of the variety show was a performance of the TripleH Ranch Boys, with holiday tunes and western music. The band is comprised of six local young men, Marvin, Lester and LaVerne Moyer, Dale and Charles Maddux, And Donald Bireseh Other numbers on the program included: Welcome by Mrs. Cook;! “Sailor Dance.” tap dance by ( arol Pursel and Joan Alt house; “Julida Polka” and “Silent Night,” accordion solos by Joe Man Dobron; “The Fir-tNowell.” a vocal duet by David 'Lord and Arthur Clymer. “White Christmas” and “It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas *, Dot Wilson; “White Christmas.” “Around The World/* and “Susy Snowflake,” accordion solos by Donna Lauchmen; “HawaiianDance,” dance by Carol Pursel, Nancy Lowry, Linda Wilson, Joan A It house and Sharon Walter, sungby ' Barbara Morris; and “Rudolph, The Red Nosed Reindeer, * tap dance by Constance Everett.
