Party Held By Brownies In C. LynneCrum Lynne Brownie Troop No.IS members have had a busy monlli. A Christmas party was held when teachers of Lei pen'll I e' School and the mothers were invited. The girls presented the Christmas story with the following in leading roles; Barbara Bums. Virginia Strickler, Mary Buriak, Nina Gordun, Carol Loveland. Linda Russell, Marianne Lubberman, Lois Huffincs and Carol Ann Ctunci. Shirley Kasarsky recited four poems. Mrs. Ruth Russell read the scrip lures. Carolers who were trained by 'Mrs. Edna Brown were Diana Brown, Diane Lois, Gail Young and Pad Hilditch. Mrs. Brown accompanied them at the piano.lit charge of costumes for the affair were Mrs. Marge Boyer and Mrs. Carrie Murphy. Lois Huffincs played two piano solos. The girls exchanged gilts. The leaders of the troop. Mrs. Madge Strickler. Mrs. Harrielte Lubberman and Mrs. Irene Firth, made corsages and presented them to the girls. Mrs. Russell presented the tree to the group and It was trimmed with ornaments which the girls had made from lightweight metal. Girls who could not participate in the program because of illness included Audrey Firth, Joanne Ettien, ;aiul Caroline .Murphy. The girls also made gifts for their parents during the month. The mdthers received pip cushion chairs made front milk cartons and the fathers received leather comb cases.The Brownies . also participated in the Salvation Army drive for good used toys Cor the needy children. Eleven of the IS members of the troop attended a •'sing at the YWCA with the leader, Mrs. Lubberman. Mrs. Carlos Huffincs and Mrs. Irene Firth each baked a cake, which were presented by Troop -IS to the birthday cake project for veterans at Valley Forge Hospital.It was announced to the group, with regret, that the Lois family is moving from the community and that Mrs. Marge Lois will be missed as a member of thctr oop committee and her daughter Diana will be missed as a very active [member of {he troop, i Mrs. Marge Boyer of Randall | street entertained the Brownies at ■ .y post Christmas party and supper mi her home. J., after a weeks visit with Mr. and Mrs. William Goslin of Seneca street.Pfc. Joseph Anderson has returned to his camp in Texas alter a visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Lee Anderson of 3rd.Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schrader Jr. have moved from lt;Uh avenue and Pontiac street to their new home 4th avenue and Mohican street.* Mr. and Mrs. Roland Surplus have returned to their' home in Chicago, after visiting Mr. Surplus father Archie Surplus and other Lester relatives.Mr. and Mrs. Daniel White and children Donna and Daniel of Mas-sasoit street visited relatives in Cldyton, N.
