Bickley has returned from Rosenberg, where he had been the guest of his son, Prof. Tom Bickley, and family since Thanksgiving. Mr. Bickley visited other relatives in Houston and other places while away.Rev. Tom McKneely returned Friday from Brownwood, where he had been doing extra school work for the past month.Joe Pridgeon of Rising Star spent Sunday to Wednesday with his family.Mrs. J. T. Scott has returned from Brownwood, where she had been with her daughter. Miss Alice Scott, who had submitted to an operation sever'd days ago. Miss Scott is improving to the delight of her many friends.Tommie Rowden and family of Barnhart arrived Thursday to spend the Christmas season with relatives.Dr. and Mrs. James Ham nor and son, Mathew, and wife and little daughter of Weslaco are guests of daughter and sister, Mrs. Evan Bag-Icy, and family.Mines. II, F. Ideus, Oscar Ideus, P.F. Myers and Miss Anna Ideus were Llano visitors Saturday.Vestner Ruffner is here from Dal-hart to spend the Christmas season with Mrs. Ruffner and little daughter, who have been the guests of relatives for several weeks.Jesse Richardp of Lubbock is a guest of his mother, Mrs. Maud Richards.Mr. and Mrs. Hollis Barber of Hoover Valley and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Gay of Bertram visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Gay, the past week.Clayton Hanna and wife of Brown-wood are visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Hanna.W. B .Hubbert and family were here for a brief visit to their sister, Mrs. D. A. Gay, Saturday while on their way to San Antonio to visit her sister, Mrs. Annie Fly.Mr. and Mrs. Will Hiilsmier spent Xmas day with Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Hamilton in San Saba.Mr. and Mrs. S. T. Taylor and Miss Thelma Taylor and Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Gates of Houston ate Xmas dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Graves Burk.Mr. and Mrs. Chas.Boney and little daughter of Rogers are visiting their parents, Rev, and Mrs. Polk Burk.Miss Dorothy McDowell of Locker is a guest of relatives.Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Walker had as guests for Christmas dinner: Judge 17. V. Dean and family, Misses Fannie and Nora Walker of San Saba, andAllen Walker and family.Mr. and Mrs. Richard Adams of Roosevelt are guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Boultinghousc.James Terry Gray left Saturday for Canyon, where he will attend school for the remainder of the school year.Little Miss Dorothy Burk spent the week end in San Saba the guest of her grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. T. Taylor.Mr. and Mrs. Will Jones of San Saba have returned home after a visit in the home of John Owens and family.Miss Sallie Mae Burk of Caldwell spent her vacation with her parents, Rev. and Mrs. Polk Burk.Mr. and Mrs. John Walker had as guests for Friday the following children. Miss Beulah Mae Walker of Richland Springs, Clay Walker and family of Sail Antonio, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Walker of Mason, Level Walker and family of Brady and Diva Walker of Wichita Falls.Mrs. R. C.' Windham, who teaches in Burnet county, spent the Christmas season with her mother, Mrs. J. L. Kuykendall.Prof. Will Terry and family have returned home after a short visit with Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Kuykendall.Mr. and Mrs. Martin Hoy of Oxford spent Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hiilsmier.The following teachers spent their vacation here with home folks: Prentice Dickerson and wife and Miss Irene Iiart of Jarrell; Miss Mattie Behrns of Lometa, Miss Flora Bell Gray of McAllen, Nelson Gay of Mercedes, Miss Velma Owens of Chappcl, Rex Sallee of Bumet.Mr. and Mrs. Tom Martin of San Angelo are guests of her sister, Mrs. John Thaxton.The following young people are attending school elsewhere and are spending their vacation with their parents: Misses Emma Lou and Lu-cile Broyles of Georgetown, Audra Mae McKneely of San Marcos, Wilma Cavness of Abilene, Thelma Houston. Riley Ray and Finis Brown of San Antonio.Miss Elon Fishback is visiting in Goldthwaite with Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Simpson.Mr .and Mrs. Jack Crump left the first of last week for Alice, where they are visiting Dr. and Mrs. C. L. Behrns.Mr. and Mrs. Alex Gay received the sad message Monday of last week that Mr. Gay's cousin, Mrs. J. L. Means, had died at her home in El Paso. Mrs. Means was reared on Rough Creek and had many relatives and friends who were pained to hear of her death,
