She was absent about three • weeks when she assuddenly returned, to all appearances filled with remorse, and on her prom-' ise to »be faithful in the future she was forgiven and accepted.All went well in the Porter household, not even a ripple on the matrimonial pond, until the 11th of last September, when Mrs. Porter again left her husband’s bed and board for parts unknown.
