Over 4000 Carnations and3000 Roses Being UsedFor Anaheim FloatANAHEIM, Dec. 30.—When the Tournament of Roses parade Is viewed at Pasadena January 1,Anaheim will have entered what i j is believed to be one of the most beautiful floats in the entire | exhibit. The theme of the float I will be “A Child's Dream and 1 J according to George W, Reid, sec-! , retary of the chamber of com-(merce, there will be portrayed aj girl asleep on a bed of roses with j a covering of pompon chrysanthe- j j mums and cornflowers, dreaming , that she has met her Prince j Charming and the two are viewing their castle. There will be the j prince and princess sitting on an elaborate bench of flowers admiring the castle of heather and ivy i amid a wealth of spring flowers, jKatherine and Ellen Collins, twin daughters of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Collins, of East Santa Ana street, will he the princess and the sleep* jing maiden, and Albert Macros ; will be the prince. Dancing around the sleeping maiden will be three fairies in the persons of Donna Dee Kerman, Gena Macres, and Betty Jean Koster, Santa Ana junior artist. t 7The float is being designed and constructed by Harry Macres and jthere is to be used 4000 carna- j tions, 3000 roses, 200 lilies of the'' valley* 100 bunches of violets, 100 i i bunches of chrysanthemums, 100 j strings of smilax, 600 strings of 1 ivy, 500 bunches of heather and | 25 bunches of delphinium. There 1J will be a corsage of orchids worn ( by the princess.
