A special New Year’s Eve stage revue is being planned for all three shows, monitored by an outstanding master of ceremonies.Plans are already under way for the continuation of the popular Sunday series through the balance of the Win ter and into the Spring. Among the well known “name’’ bands being considered for future performances are Kay Kayser, Bennie Goodman, George Olson, Glen Gray and his Casa Lontlt;i orchestra, Larry Clinton, Jack Teagarden and Jack Jenney.Lennie Hayton, whose orchestra will play for the stage revue, is widely known among addicts of popular musicas a talented composer, arranger an-1 pianist, as well as conductor of a musical aggregation which has been heard on the radio for such broadcasts as the Chesterfield, Woodbury, Ipana, Lucky Strike, (Plymouth Motors and Socony programs. Hayton will present his piano specialties when his orchestra does one of the outstanding acts of the stage revue. Featured witn his orchestra is the attractive vocalist, Linda Keene.Gene Krupa, the “Ace Drummer Man,” and his orchestra will have the featured post-intermission solo spot, when the audience of “Show of the Week” will have an opportunity 'o hear Krupa present the drumming specialty which has brought him fame. Also featured with Krupa’s band ’s Irene Day, the “Lovely Lady or Swing.”One of the greatest drummers jfall tim?. Krupa has formed an orchestra that has been a sensation since it first met the public. Krupa himself had won a name during the period he was playing with Benny Goodman's orchestra, Irom 1934 until he struck out on his own. His band is particularly noted for its novel presentation of swing arrangements.
