A MERRY CHRISTMAS ATWIPOW INGEES.Several weeks before Christmas the relatives anti neighbors of Elizabeth Inc els. in Lafayette township, had arranged for a surprise dinner ’ ather residence, and on Christmas morning although very cold, a large number gathered at her house, each bringing a basketful of good things. When the table was spread and the baskets were being emptied of their contents, consisting of large cakes, pies, roast chickens and turkies, the widow was indeed surprised. But there was another surprise awaiting theguests—one of the widow s children,George Ingels, jr., who had beenaway in Illinois a few days on a visitreturned just in time for dinner.bringing with him a newly wedded wife, having been married on lastSunday. However, none of the guests, except a few immediate relatives) had any knowledge of the marriage. So, after congratulations and well washes all around, the bountiful dinner was partaken by all present, and yet therewere tw*elve baskets full taken upAmong those present, our reporter noticed 1\ N. It may not be out of place hereto state that this is only one of manyannual reunions the above-namedpersons have had-—always selecting the residence of some one of them as the place for a ‘ big dinner, and the boys for a “Dig “Christmas hunt.We doubt if there was a better dinnereaten, or a happier company gathered anywhere on Christmas day than theone at the widow ingels.
