'Oh! Calcutta!’will goEVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) — The show must go on, Vander burgh County commissioners have ruled, citing a legally bind ing contract and the absence of a violation of community standards or obscenity laws.Despite objections from some clergy members, the commissioners will not halt a performance of “Oh! Calcutta!/' a nude musical revue that is scheduled to be performed at the county-owned Vanderburgh Auditorium on Jan 26County Attorney Ted Ziemer Jr. said he was in a difficult position.“I follow the tenets of the Roman Catholic church and am always very much persuaded by what my bishop has to say,” Ziemer said “In this case, we have executed a contract with the company that is producing this show, which is a legally binding document.Ziemer said the Vanderburgh County Prosecutor's Office has the authority to stop the production if it determines Oh ! Calcut ta! violates community standards.
