THE DAILY DEMOCRATj ..A Merry Christmas.Christmas is the one time above all others when people are wont *to gather1 around their old family firesides to meet and greet one another with ebeor and good will, so the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Prall of East Fifth street, chose this day to gather at their comfortable homo and gave them a pleasant surprise. And as no snrprise party is complete without well filled lunch baskets this one was surely up to the standard, and the way those throe large turkeys, cranberry sauce, escalloped oysters and many other good things disappeared was good evidence that no one had failed to bring their appetite. One feature of the gathering was thlt;j representation of four generations. When all bad arrived a count showed thirty-seven present. The pleasant day gave the younger ones a chance to enjoy themselves on the lawn and they certainly had a time, for they actually got the quiet man across the street (Frank Nebe) excited to such an extent that ho came out and requested the privilege to take a snap shot at the bunch, which of course was ‘granted. Late in the afternoon all departed for thier homes, feeliog that they had spent a very merry Christmas and wishing Mr. and Mrs. Prall .many more and many Happy New Years. Those present were Geo. B. Prall and family; T. W. Prall and family. J. B. Pali und family; R. R. Bell and family of Wiota; Mrs. Eva Haines and daughter uf Red Oak ; Milt,Darling and family; Ross Bell aqgP^vjife of Wiota; Rulph Welton and ijstpiily. of Griswold:THE MARKETS— ,#■Corrected daily by L.
