Students and teachers in various classes design and fill between 25 and 30 Christmas gift hampers for distribution to families in need. The Red Cross Youth of Lord Selkirk School organizes the overall program but it is the enthusiasm of the students and the competition in preparing the hampers that makes it such a special program. When the hampers are completed they are delivered personally by the students. In the photo above some of this year’s organizers pose with one of the colorful hampers: (left to right) Virginia Bilinsky, co-ordinator and teacher adviser to Red Cross Club; Bill Sokolowski; Buck Daley; Cynthia Verklan; Wendy Prokopow, President Red Cross Club; Ken Simperl; Bob Nieuwkerk, and Brent Russell.
