Mrs. Buchanan brought . one of her cakes for which she is | noted. McLain enjoyed { ,1 having all her children home j e Sunday. Those I happen to know j were there are Mr. and Mrs. L. M. McLain, Mr. and Mrs. T. S. McLain of Houston, Mrs. Bonna Clark and son of Bryan, Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Lightsey and family, Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Lightsey and family, and several whose names I failed to get. I'm sure hey all had a wonderful time.Mrs. Effie Rambo attended the program and Christmas tree at Mumford school Thursday night.It was a bad night but everyone had a good time. Mrs. Rambo teaches at Mumford.Albert and Sammie Rambo came home Friday from college at Huntsville to spend the holidays with their mother, Mrs. Fffic Rambo, and grandmother and Uncle Sam.Gary Lightsey who also attends college in Huntsville, arrived Friday afternoon to be with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. 'M. H. Lightsey, and brother. Billy, and sisters, Gayle and • Kaye.| I have just received the sad ! news of the death of Mrs. Ola ’ Henry Long of Ennis. Mrs. Long 1 was the daughter of Hugh Henry s and his wife, AUie Wallace, and s a granddaughter of William I. Henry and Mary Fullerton ; j Henry, one of the four original ; Henry brothers to come to Texas in the 1920’s and 1930’s. She wasmy father’s first cousin.She had spent most of her life in Ennis. Her husband was a conductor on the S. P. railrovt and was well known in Hearne He passed away many years ago.Her sister, Susie Henry, is in a critical condition in a nursing heme in Ennis. She is about tih years eld. O.'n was aboul 34. Thv three sisters lived together in thlt;* old Henry home In Ennis, r visited them about four years ago Ola was in bed at that time. Susie and Jessie were able to get around, but they were so cheerful that it was a pleasure to visit them. The nieces and nephew*' take care of them as neither Jessie or Ola had any children, and Susie never married.
