More than seventy-five families were visited.At the Settlement House the celebra tion of Christmas began in the early 'part of the week. On Wednesday afternoon the mothers and the babies were given a party. Dr. Wilmer Krusen? Director of Public Health and Chanties, and Mibb Eliza Knight, chief of the citynurses, were present. Presents were given to the children.On Thursday Cbnstmas was celebratedby the (iirl Clubs. The feature of the j celebration was an illustrated sermon onthe birth of Clirist. Friday night the* , Bovs' Club bad their celebration, which included stereopticon illustrations of Dickens’ ‘'Christmas Cajtoh” Rev. G. H. IBechtold. of the settlement, was in jcharge of the celebrations. #
