XMAS PROGRAM IN DARBY TWP.Lincoln School Has Candlelight Procession — Other NewsThe Lincoln School in Darbytownship entertained parents of thepupils and friends at a Christmasprogram on Thursday night, one of the main features being a candlelight procession, in which there were three groups of carols sung. At the outset, the welcome was extended by Paul Thomas.The school chorus that participated in the procession consists of Juanita Upchurch, Betty Studevaxi, Robert Mason, David Dennis, Lawrence Waters, Naudya Ledbetter, Josephine Walker, Priscilla Chambers, Eleanor Stewart, Essie Rochester, Della Lee, Lloyd Hardy, Edward Holloway, Clarence Clark, Roger Wesley, Hayward Upchurch, William Simpson, Muriel Beckwith, Ethel Dowell, Juanita Gans, Freddie May Newcomb, Ida McFarland, Ruth Hannah, Pauline King, Alice Hines, Charlotte Kappes and Beverly Watkins. *A Christmas Acrostic” proved interesting with the following taking part, Evelyn Hines, Justine Brown, Robert Shank, Dorothy Shaperson, Marion Blandford, Thomas Bishop,Beryl Dealy, Gertrude Thomas and Dolores Fisher.Recitations of a seasonable nature were given by Robena Banks, Wilbur Bishop, Elizabeth Brocken-brough, Alice Mason, Roscoe Coleman, Jr., Leroy Edney, Donald Roberts, Barbara Gans, Eleanor Robinson and Gwendolyn Gaines. These were interspersed with choral numbers,A musical playlet called “Santa Land” was given with those participating being: Justine Brown, Roscoe Coleman, E. Brockenbrough, Boryl Sealy, Morion Blandford, Evelyn Hines, Leroy Edney, Essie Robinson, Donald Roberts, Gertrude Thomas Wilbur Bishop, Dorothy Sharperson, Jeraldine Beckwith, Thomas Bishop, Paul Thomas, Robert Shank, Dolores Fisher, Marie Roberts, Robena Banks, Gwendolyn Gaines, Eleanor Robinson, Ruth Roberts, Mary Ann Whifcsett, Mary Fisher, Barbara Gans, Thelma Studevair, Alice Mason, Barbara Beckwith, Leroy Smith.“Farewell to Toyland” was the name of another play, being well acted by Robert Gidney, Jean Brico, David Shank, Joseph Valentine, Alvina Trusty, Earl Luther, John Baugh, William Fisher, Costello Olark, Stanford Smith, John Harris, David Henry and Ignatius Roberts.Those Impersonating dolls were Vivian Chavous, Fayette Bishop, Gertrud; Coleman, Vivian Taylor, Clementine Upchurch, Jacqueline Coleman, Myra Brown and Claudine Butler. The “Clown Band, with Milton Peace as the leader, included in its personnel, Thomas Clark, Norma Gans, Loretha Holloway, George Lindsay, Doris Roosevelt, Raymond Baugh, Betty Gale, Joel-len Kilson, Jacqueline Brown, Joan Gaines, Marie Hoffman, Lois Me* Whater, Wendell Dayo, John Clark Ethel Holland, Dolores Watson, Lula MacLangle^, Oneida Fisher, Madeline Harris, Dorothy King, John Trent, William, Baugh, Muriel Willis, Genevle Harris, Augustus Butler.
