'ANNUAL PARTY A T NOB HILL TEA ROOMS SATURDAYWith the spiri*. of Yuletide and holiday festivity, the Ogden Historical society held its annual Christman party Saturday afternoon at the Nob Hill tea rooms. Luncheon was served at one long table with covers placed for thirty members. Red carnations and white bridal wreath in white vases on reflectors formed an attractive centerpiece for the table with red princess tapers in white holders placed at intervals. P.cd and preen candles filled with candy were the favors,Mrs, E. A. Fleming, president of the club, welcomed the members and guests and intioduced Miss Hell Hendricks, a new member. Following the luncheon Mrs, Maurine Rhead gave a most delightful reading entitled A Great Rushing of Wings” by Emma Lindsay Squire.The feature of the afternoon was a musical program given by the FERA music and arts organization of which Mrs. Edna C. Ririe Is the supervisor.This new and commendable ••white collar professional project” Is the only project of its hind in Utah at the present time, and it is due to the efforts of Mrs. Rlrie that the FERA of Ogden city has endorsed and aided in this worthy organization.Clair Lewis, director of the chcrus, acted as master of ceremonies, and presented the members in the following program: FERA instrumental trio, The Old Pine Tree”, Prayer Meeting Time In the Hollow-, Jack Twitch ell, Em Twitchell and Milt Austin; violin solo, Nocturne” by Chopin,and Spring Song” by Mendelssohn, Otto Aitmanns; instrumental trio, “Bye Bye Blue”, Jos. Eddy, Earl Eddy, Lawrence Christensen; baritone solo, “Kentucky Baby”, Jack Creamer, accompanist, Arlene Blakcman; piano solo, Licbestraum, by Franz Liszt, Arlene Blakcman; musical saw' solo, “The World is Waiting for the Sunshine”, James Sherman, accompanied by Jack Twitchell; tenor solo, “O Solo Mlo”, Clair Lewis; yodeling troubadour, Silver Moon, Vcrn Hawks; novelty dance, Joe Blackner. accompanied by FERA trio (guitars and acv cordian) Jack Twitchell, Era Twitchell, Milt Austin; instrumental, “Beautiful Ohio, “Riders of the Purple Dawn”, “His Star”—Christmas cantata—FERA chorus, soloists, musicians; closing chorus. “On the Road to Recovery”, chorus, musicians and audience.Following the program' the members of the Historical society were presented with dainty gifts made by the members of the entertainment committee as a beautiful reminder of the splendid 'year of 1934. The members of the committee responsible for the success of the party were Mrs. A. C. Hyde, chairman; Mrs. Olga Ellis, Mrs. W. J. Martin, Mrs. P. F. Neil-son and Mrs. E. A, Fleming.
