NEWS Staff PartyHasPersonnel of the Ada Evening News, their husbands or wives and special guests assembled in the ballroom of the Aldridge Hotel Monday evening for the annual Christmas dinner and party.The tables were laid in white si d w ere centered with red candles in silver holders, surroundedby greenery, candy canes dotting the runners of cedar.Responsible for the decorations were Mrs. J. Hugh Biles, Mrs. Johnson Perry and Mrs. Jack Purdy,Mrs Purdy at the console piano played a program of Christmas music as the guests assembled.Roy S. McKeown w as masterof ceremonies.Preceding the serving of the turkey dinner. Jack Purdy read St. Luke's account of the Christmas story and Mrs. Ernest Rutherford gave the invocation.A quartet composed of J. Hugh Biles, Roy S. McKeow n, M r s. La wrence Blankenship and Miss Mary McKeown sang “SilentNight,” with Mrs. Purdy accompanistGeorge Gurley gave a parody of “The Night Before Christmas.” Miss Sue Crossett did an interpretive ballet number, “The Snow* Queen,” to the tune of the Skaters Waitz.Jack Purdy did a “take-off*on Liber ace, the well-publicized pianist.With Mrs. Clinton Sturdevant eucting the role of his mother, E. L. Adams as a small boy visiting Santa (Clyde Alletag), told and read his Christmas “wants.” Mrs. Perry conducted a game, “What Can Be Found on a Lincoln Pennv.”%Mr. Alletag, assisted by Clinton Sturdevant and Charles Rhoades, distributed the giftsfrom a lighted yule tree.To close the evening of fun, the group sang “Jingle Bells.Attending were Mrs. Thelma Clampitt, Mr. and Mrs. John Skinner, Mr. and Mrs. W.
