StudentsPresentProgramA playlet entitled The Madonna of the Rose,” presented by fourth grade students of St Rita’s Parochial School, featured the Christmas ptogram on Sunday evening of the Christian Mothers of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, held in the social hall of St. FiUa’s R. C ChurchSpecial guests for the affair were the Rev. Andrew DiSanto. pastor of the church; the RevMichael Bucci, assistant pastor,and several nuns of the parish. Rev. DiSanto led the group in prayers before the prograpi. Later, he and Rev. Bucci spoke briefly.The members and guests sang a number of Christmas carols in ushering in the festivities. Two Italian Christmas carols. “Tu Soende Della Stella” and Bambi-nella Bella.” were sung by Mrs. Alphonse Conte and Mrs. Daniel L. Vernava,The playlet, under direction ofj Sister M Mercedes, assisted bj Rosella Canada, Louise Hartz and Josephine Gaudiello, was then presented The children participating were:Joan DeBlasio, Joseph RJarci-ante, David Renze, Andrea, Cane-strale, Judy Bednarik, Anthony Ditto. Lynn Cordaro, Denise and Christine Cavaliere, Joan Mongel-luzzo, Joseph Smarlo, Kathy Pujia, Vicki and Peter Fiano, John Conyette, James Pilato, Mary Ellen Pastore, Robert Car-pinelli, Regis Bell, Carol Lattanzo and Robert Rulli.A vocal trio, David Bednarik, Joseph Prudente Jr., and Michael Cavaliere, attired as “Three Kings,” sang several Christmas carols.Santa, In the person of Lewis Lattanzo, appeared and distributed gifts to the group.Door prizes were awarded Mrs. Joseph DeClemente, Mrs Alphonse Corteal and Rev.
