Inter4'hurch Group Banquet Bright AffairCfiwiciimtci£ancohespGood fellowship with a high standard of excellence in the way the toastmaster and those on the toast list acquitted themselves marked the Christmas banquet of the North Lethbridge Inter-Church association last night. With the exception of one, boys only, appeared on the toast list and demonstrated that being out of work has not dull* cd the humor, cheerfulness or courage of the boys who are active in the association. Ladies representing the churches interested catered and served a hot dinner in abundant quantity. Regret was expressed at the absence of the director, Mrs. Lovegrove, who unfortunately has an attack of 'flu, but her assistant McKinley Bateman, the boys uraslStsA John Kostelnick and his [executive bandied the affair in a most creditable manner.Mrs. McKinley Bateman was ac-' companist Joe Lowther and George Mount, soloists, and song-leader. Robert Dash, yodeler, made a big hit. Mr. Shackleford had a message of encouragement and another invitation to see a picture at four o’clock on Saturday next. Rev. j Father Fyiyma said grace.' John Kostelnick was toastmaster and kept the program mcwng in happy mood. His ability to create and maintain a festive friendly atmosphere was a matter of comment by the adults present. The toasts were designed, to call forth the originality, humor and constructive ithougnt of the speakers.
