EAGLE PASS,Saturday, Dec. 12, Dr. and Mrs, Ellis Gate1? entertained in theJr home in Ceylon Street in compliment to their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Jeremiah Ingels Rhodes, who were married Nov, 20, Dr, and Mrs. Jeremiah Rhodes motored from San Antonio lor the occasion, in the music room where Dr. and Ml's, Gates received their guests, were 3 arse bcwls ot calia lilies and godetla. The mantle was banked with evergreens. With Dr. • and Mrs. Gates were the bride and?S bridegroom, Dr. and Mrs, Jeremiah ;Ri Rhodes, Rev. J. s, Moore e.nd Mis. \ Moore, Mr, and Mrs. P. L. Morris, Mrs.p- slJ?Ps°n Sr., Mrs. a. H. Evans, Mrfl. B, V. King, Mrs. E, R. Janes nnd Mrs. Robert Thomson. Other members of the house party were Mesdamcs O.C. C. Meyer, Aubrey Lcgg, T. A, Caldwell, Joyce Key, S. P. Simpson Jr., George C. Hollis, L. L. Sc'noilcld, Floyd Jones, D. K. Graves, V/. M. Stafford,W. A. Hr watt. C. J. Garland, W. C. Morris, P. L. Harper and Lea Hume. The dining table had a center decoration of giant white chrysanthemums, stock, goriotla and baby breath sut-roundcd by white cindles in silver holders. Mesdmes Bruce Thomson, W,H. George, J. s. Buckley. T. E, Hume.R. F. Vaughan, T. R, Johcs and J. D. Beck, alternated in pouring coffee and serving the bride's cake. They were assisted by Mesdamcs H. W, PTOctr.an, Floyd Fitch, M. A.
