Draws Big AudienceA large audience attended theChristmas concert presented by thevocal music departments of SeniorHigh School and Junior High School band Wednesday night atthe high school auditorium.The first part eras by the Senior High School chorus and the Girls Glee Club. Part two was by the Junior High School glee dub and the concluding numbers were by the High School band.The program opened with theprocessional by the junior and senior high choruses and was fol-lowed by four numbers after wh’ch the selection, “List, The Cherubic Hosts” was sung by Misses Alma Hodge, Barbara Lunday, Alma Thornton and Chloe Guice with» Miss Dorothy Campbell and Wade Guice as soloists.Miss Charlene Bedding and chorus sang “Fairest Lord Jesus’’ and “Hark! Hark My Soul” was , sung by Miss Jennie Dew Boone and chorus. Following five numbers by the junior glee club the j band presented several numbers concluding with a march.Accompanists were Misses Alma Hodge and Alyne Eisendrath.The program presented the initial appearance of the musicalorganisations under their new directors, Miss Lucille Gaines and Prof. Geo. Wimberly, and funds secured will be to purchase choir robes.
