Joy and Simon Havey returned Saturday from a week’s’ hunting in Franklin with a fine large buck.Our school closed Friday after a very successful term of seven weeks, taught by Mr. C. S.Hridgham of Sullivan.Mrs. Jessie N. Bragdon and daughters Ruth and Abbie, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Noyes.Miss Mina Urann entertained the sewing circle last week.Mr. Simon Havey has butchered the largest hog thus far heard from. He weighed 550 pounds.Mrs. Cora Averi'l from West Sullivan was visiting Mrs. Emeline Havey lastWednesday.Stillman Joyce from Salisbury’s Cove is working in the woods for Mr. D. S. Bunker.Mrs. Lizzie 13. Simpson spent a few days in West Gouldsboro last week, a guest of Mrs. Frank Noyes.
