They all belong to the same card club, ___Combined Ages Of Four MembersOf Chilton Club Equal 300 Years.• _ ... - ru»ir table, for when they get toUp at Chilton, Wis., there exists a remarkable card club consisting of four men whose combined ages equal 300 years andeight months.The club, which is known as the Old Timers’ Euchre club, is composed of John Hertel, 85 years and T months; Walter Freer, 75 years and 6 months; John Salm, 70 years and 6 months; and Charles Heller, 69 years and one month.All four members of the club live in Chilton, and all are “halo and hearty.” They are good citizens and take an active interestin the affairs of the city* state, and nation.Mr. Hertel, the oldest member of the club, had this to say about the organization: “We are the friendliest bunch in the country, believe it or not. We play small, and we don’t care for money. Try us out at our next meeting which will be held at Jacob Cutering's, one block back of the bridge, and you'll find that there is no more happier and friendly group than we are — especially when we are playing.”Use Oak TableThe story goes that the members of the club use only a solidoak table, for when they get to playing and pounding on the table, nothing else will withstand the terrific thumps.
