Feast Of Carols”By Huron High’sChoir On Dec. 18tIThe a cappelia choir of Huron High school will present its annual “Feast of Carols” in the Huron High school auditorium Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 8:15 p. mM under the direction of Miss Margaret E. Williamsr supervisor of school music. She was assisted in arranging the event by the entire teaching staff of the Huron High school. Stage effects were in the hands of Mildred Schuh, William Basilone, Fred Hammond and Norman Wilcox.The story in the narration of the Feast of Carols deals with a number of the beautiful customs in various countries during the Yuletide. Many of those customs 'and traditions have become a part of the American celebration of Christmas, and in the presentation there will be portrayed such things as Christmas trees, Christmas gifts, candlelight services and other widely employed customs.Narrators appearing in the Feast of Carols and the locales represented by them are the following: Biblical lands, Ann Eau; American, Dorothy Laub and Marilyn Taylor; Russian, Charlotte Isaac; French, Patricia Sartor; South American, Nelliejanev“Westminster Carol,” “Jeanette-Isabella,” and “Cantique Noel,” South American Carol, traditional:“Villancico, Puerto Rican” ....By Girls of the Choir Italian Carols, traditional and arranged:“A d e s t e Fideles,” “Nativity • Song,” and “Gesu Bambino.” The latter number a solo by Patricia Altman German Carols, 12th, 16th and 17th centuries:“Fairest Lord Jesus,” “While Shepherds Watched,” (Senior Girls Ensemble), “Christmas Hymn,” and “Silent Night.” English Carols, traditional andWelsh:“Deck the Halls,” “Here We Come A-caroling,”(Senior Girls Ensemble)“The Twelve Days of Christmas,” and “God Rest You Merry Gentlemen,”(Boys Quartet)American Carols:“Little Jesus Came To Town” ...................
