MARSTON (State Journal Society Editor)Rhymed invitations, written in bright green ink, were sent out by Dr. and Mrs. Frederick Jefferson Davis, 206 Alden dr, for their informal Christmas party to be held tonight in their basement recreation room.Jeff and Mary Davis (she was Mary McGuire, daughter of the Raymond T. McGuires of Maple Bluff) wrote the following “verse” for their party:‘Ten days before Christmas,The 15th of December,We hope will be a night You will surely remember.We’ll nish the beerAnd 1 food and the song.If you have special request records Just bring them along.The time is 8 sharp,And we’d like you to come Clad in your jeans To join in the fun.So, if you like the idea And our poetry lame,We’d like a reply eWith more of the same.” «i ^Guests at the party will include Dr. and Mrs. George ^ Oosteriious, Dr. and Mrs. Charles Taborsky, Dr. and Mrs. Robert West, Dr. and Mrs. Cary Peabody, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Vaughn, Dr. and Mrs. Robert Linn, Dr. and Mrs. John Berger, Mr. and Mrs. William Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas McGuire, S5 Mr. and Mrs. William R. Dinsdale Davis c and Miss Barbara Archer, Magnus Harding, and Dr. and Mrs. d Roblt;*rt Wochos. aNo introductions will be made at the Davises’ party—but each guest will be presented with an identification tag in verse. Charades will be featured during the evening, and prizes will be awarded to the cleverest participants.
