North Oak Park Woman's ClubThe North Oak Park Woman’s Club will meet Wednesday, December 19, at 1:30 p. m., in Pilgrim church house, Elmwood avenue and Lake street. Miss Anne Hoen, reader, will present “The Nativity,” her own arrangement of the “Story Wondrous”. Mrs. C. A. Scranton is chairman for the afternoon.The Ways and Means department under the direction of Mrs. Otto Feutz will hold a home made bakery sale, Saturday, December 15, from 11 o’clock to 4 p. m., at Meier’s Department store, 5704 Chicago avenue, Chicago.Last Wednesday night the club met with members of their familiesand guests to hear the Russian Balalaika String Quartet of International House. This quartet composed of Alexander Malahovsky, first mandolin; Peter Hudiakovsky, alto domra; Vladimir Grech, alto balalaika; Dmitry Gribanovsky, bass balalaika, played Russian melodies and dances and Mr. Malahovsky sang several Russian songs.After this program there was dancing in the ballroom to the music of the Rhythm Kings, Forrest Blanding leader, and cards downstars for those who did not dance. After a very enjoyable evening, refreshments were served by Mrs. E. J. Bleimes and her committee. Prizes for cards were a box of candy for every table. a-
