METHODIST LADIES BAZAARAMOUNTED TO NEARLY $400Last Thursday evening the ladies of the Methodist church held their annual pre-Christmas bazaar in the church parlors. In spite of the fact that it was rainy and cold, supper began at five and continued for two hours with all places at the tables filled. And the supper was excellent too.Immediately after supper the three quilts were put up for sale with Charlie Doty as auctioneer.Mrs. Charles Moscow and Mrs.9Fred Immel made and donated two of the quilts. The third, the name quilt, was made by Mrs. Nan Nesmith with the aid of a few of the ladies. The names on this quilt brought $27 and it was sold for $11 making $38 off the one quilt. The various booths of the bazaar were well filled with articles, the sellingof which swelled the evenings funds considerably. .It is estimated that the total re-iceipts from the bazaar will amount to nearly 400 dollars. This far surpasses any of the bazaars held in previous years and while the credit of the evening’s success cannot betgiven to any one person, much is due Mrs-. George Yenter, the president of the Ladies Aid for her ability to create enthusiasm and interest enough to obtain the cooperation of all the church members.
