With the-AMATEUR PLAYERSMtaqiwr Player*.Tomorrow evening the Masquer Studio players, will stage the comedy, “Dollar Down*” in the Hamilton park auditorium, 72nd st.and Normal blvd. Admission to the show, which will be one of series of Christmas activities at the park, will be free, but because of the large crowd expected to attend tickets which will be required are being distributed by James Lackey, park supervisor, and by members of th*» cast. They may be obtained any evening at the Masquer studio, 357 W. 63rd st.The comedy will be the final production to be staged by this little theater group for the year. Margot Nelson again will be seen in the humorous role of the elderly grandmother who tries with little avail to keep her family “on the ground when they would prefer to “hitch their wagon to stars and spend more than their incomes will permit.Other players, who have gained approval for their portrayals, will include the Masquer veteran, Winifred Branigan, John Olmstead. Men and women interested in taking a part in the play are invited to register at the Masquer studio any evening between7 and 8 o’clock.“The King Family” radio pro-! gram, which left the air last week, will be replaced by a new show to be known as the “Play of the Month.” Each month a new play will be offered, the first of which will be heard early in January.
