HERE'S A REAL HUMAN INTIRESf STORY!Here is one of those unusual human Interest stories (hit happen very rarely.The picture above was taken in' Uniontown II years ago. it was Ijikcn shortly after the Junior Reporter Club was formed and shows .Shep Fields, famous orchestra leader, being presented a Junior Reporter Press Card by one of the stars of the Sunday night Junior Reporter Radio Revue,The young star was billed on the program each Sunday night as “Frank Gabrln, and His Lilting Violin,” and his violin selections each week rated high tn the fan letter department. •E» the 11 years that have gone past .since that picture was taken, Frank Cabrln has continued with his music. On through high school and through the University of Miami and-for the past two years he lias been musical director of German Township High school. His work wilh the music department at that school has made as big an. impression on his students and the parents as did his “Lilting Violin II years ago on WMBS.Tonight----after.11 years—Frank Gahrin returns to the junior Reporter radio program. This time, not as a young performer, hut |i men ling 12 young entertainers under his own direction.On WMBS tonight at 10'o'clock you’ll liear the German Township High school popular dance orchestra of 12 pieces, under the direction of “dir. Frank (labrln. 'they will present a 30 minuteprogram of variety tunes and entertainment.German High school is one of the few district high sellouts that lias a popular dance orchestra as well as Hie usual band, chorus and other musical departments.
