STUDENTS CONNECTED WITH THETARZANGAMENephew of Author and Son of Artist Enrolled in University; Sleeping Porches Lose Chsrm This Time of YearMANY PARTIES THIS WEEKIn case some promoter is interested, there is a possibility that agood Tarzan act might be worked up at the University of Kansas.The reason there is a possibility for this act is because of the fact that two K. U. men students have a definite connection with the famed character of the comics.First of all there’s Eddie Olsen of the Delta Tau house, from Bonner Springs, who is a nephew of Edgar Rice Burroughs, the author of the Tarzan books.Then, there’s Edward L. Foster, an Alpha Tau Omega from Topeka, whose father, H. R. Foster is the cartoonist who draws all the sketches forv the big Sunday edition of Tarzan that appears in color.Foster’s^ father does the work at his office in Topeka. Another artist does the daily strip.John Milton Phillips of Kansas City, Mo., president of the K. U. men’s student council, has been appointed by the council to represent the Universitv at the annual convention of the National Student Federation of America to be held late this month in New York City.The “olde yuletide” spirit will orevail at the Christmas varsity to be held tonight from 9:30 to 12 o’clock in the K.
