week, but is now recovering.The W. F. M. society held its monthly meeting at the home of Mrs. Vantile Baughn. Mrs. Cord-ray had charge of the devotions. Mrs. C. T. O’Haver gave the second lesson in the text book, “The Child in the Midst/’ while Mrs. Anderson, Mrs. Antibus, Mrs. Benham and Mrs. Criss read interesting leaf* lets in connection with the lesson. Mrs. Mayhood read from the bulletin of the death of Mrs. Hulda Rader, wife of Rev. W. S, Rader, pastor of the M. E. church at Washington. Rev. Rader was a former pastor of Lyons and he and Mrs. Rader were greatly beloved. She was the efficient superintendent of childrens’ work in the Indiana Conference. Her death was due to heart disease, and was very unexpected. The Christmas offering taken at the meeting amounted to $5.00. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Bayless Benham, on Tuesday, January 5. Mrs. Baughn served her guests with refreshments.
