Loder, and thero aro a great Variety of useful anlt;] beautiful articles on sale at the various booth*.Preceding the opening of the fair, a btreet parade was given through the principal streets of the city, the Canton members In full uniform being led by the Hlgham Drum Corps.On their arrival at the hall, Mayor Cox was introduced oy Captain E. 0.W. Musbach, and In a short and well chosen adores® declared the fairopened, and expressed his belief that it will be one of the most successful ever hold in this city.J. B. Wheeler, chairman of the committee of arrangements, then announced that the entertainment for the evening consisted of several members of the Mlkles’ Mi net r els, whoproceeded to give an entertainment lasting over an hour.The members of the company who appeared were Guy L. Mlkles, William Hebn, Jr., Thomas Gillson, Douglas Curran, Dee S. Cranse, Percy Dow© and Charles Stanton.Music was furnished by McWilliams’ orchestra, and at tha conclusion of the entertainment, the floor was cleared and dancing was enjoyed until midnight.The entertainment for to-night will be given by the Harry Beach Banjo Club, and is promised to be exceptionally good.
