Costoo will present her piano and voice students in their Christmas Recital at the Prentiss School Auditorium, Friday Dec. 11 at 7 p.m.forl are babyS »waslurelents,lderTer-rgin-The elementary school students will perform at 7 p.m. This portion of the program will include vocal and piano solos, two numbers by the Rhythm orchestra and a chorus using melody bells by the sixth grade girls.The following students will be heard at the 7:00 o’clock part of the performance: Cathy Lee,Sylvia Pilgrim, Patricia Young, Carol Quam, Kathy Myrick, Debby Lane, Evelyn Rankin, Joy Walters, Keith Godbold, Charlotte Walters, David Godbold, Michael Ulmer, Kathy Ingram, Janet Ishee, Susan Kriner, Ronnie Wooten, Patty Jo Smith, Judy Walin, Diane Wells, Helen Ingram, Gay Cooper, Candice Martin, Dale Gaddis and Sue Carolyn Dykes.The W. S. C. S. of the West Laurel Methodist church celebrated their Christmas party in the Fellowship hall of the church.Mrs. Otto Wansley, Sr., president was in the chair and welcomed visitors from the Sallie Ellis and Northside circles.Mrs. E. W. Scott gave the Christmas story, An Envelope Under the Door. Mrs. W. M Jones brought the devotional and the group enjoyed singing Christmas carols.A gaily decorated and lighted Christmas tree that bore gifts for everyone was the center of attention.A social period followed the meeting when cookies, sandwiches and punch were served. Paula Young, Betty Jefcoat, Martha Swartz, Janet Hilbun, Judy Cole, Linita Segrest, Carolyn Kay Smith, Diane Rogers, Rebecca Shirley, Linda Reynolds, Mike Gaddis, Martha Bankston, and Emily Martin.A special treat will be a musical playlet entitled, ‘‘Scenes From the Life of George Frederick Handel by James Francis Cook.Cheryl Kriner is director of the playlet and will use music pupils as the characters.
