Those working with her are Miss Jennings, Miss Norris, Miss James, Miss Cushman, Miss Libbey, Miss Atehinson and Miss Haydock. Those who contributed so well to the entertainment on Tuesday afternoon are worthy of special mention. Mr. Albert A. Day, celebrated whistler, charmed his hearers with a splendid imitation of a cricket and a meadow lark, improvising his own accompaniment. Mr. Holtzhausen, tenor of Holy Trinity, New York, and Mr. James A. Donaghey, baritone, accompanied by Miss Adele Brown, were heartily applauded for their singing. Mr. Maurice McLaughlin, author of that remarkably funny book, The Gowanuslans,” recited a few selections of his own composition, which established him a favorite. The corresponding secretary of the society is Miss Kato Huy lor, and assistant to Mrs. Herbert Kctchum, chairman of the Bedford district, who is one of the businesslike, energetic women who are determined to make the society’s alms successful, and Colonel S. L. Woodford is on the executive committee, lending his name and influence to make the project successful. Much mention was made at the meeting of those who valiantly aided the work last yean, the foremost of whom was generous hearted Commodore Frank B. Sutton, who has this year bought a box for Friday matinee. Siebrecht Wadley of the famous Hose Hill nurseries, are chairmen of the floral decorations. Mr. Frank Sittig through Mrs. De Long, has contributed 2,000 oranges for Christmas morning.The Christmas Tree Entertainment.
