She continues with the story, “These charts include when the babies were fed, when water was given, the formula, and if any one of them is ill and must be watched. We carefully check each baby together before she leaves.“Next I check on my supplies tosee that I have everything for formulas, the oxygen tank is full in j case of emergency. Then I start thefeedings.“Then there are formulas to fix for ten o’clock feedings. We usually have at least ten babies. I ;remember only one time this yearwe got down to two babies. The babies are fed on three hour and four hour schedule.”“And the two schedules catch up with each other dt the six o’clock feedings,” Mrs. Giles explained.“There is water to give them and then the babys all start crying at once for a change of diaper,” she continued. IAnd Mrs. Padgham added, “And about the time you get back to the first one you change, he is wet again — the boys are the worse about that!”
