Want Name of Town Changed to HarlanThoumindKtk’kn HperialHarlan, Ky., Dec. 6.—A petition is being circulated in Harlan petitioning the coming Legislature to change the legal name of this town from Mt. Pleasanvto Harlan, as the name of the postoffice is Harlanand the name Mt. Pleasant has become obsolete; also to have the town of Harlan changed from the sixth to the fourth class.The population has almost doubled in the past twelve months and naturally rotates into the fifth class and it is predicted that it will rotate into the fourth class within the next year, and it is agreed that it would be best to have a special act now so that Harlan can get ready for the ftiture.
