ALTON ORGANS«A new organ lias just been ordered from Air. Joseph G rati an, for the M. K.ehureh, now near completion at Hannibal, Mo. Tins will be the tirst pipe organ inj.be Missouri M. K.Conterem e. The proposed organ has been speciallyplanned for the church, will be placed in an alcove, back of the pulpit; but neither organist nor choir will be infront of organ. The choir room in formed m one corner and opens into the church by a lofty areh, the organist being seated in the choir room but not insight of the congregation. Every pipeorgan in Hannibal except the first one, which is of eastern make, was made inAlton.A large 3 manual 40 stop organ is also nearly completed for the new Union M. E. church of St. Louis, by Mr. Gratian, and a line two manual for the Calvary Presbyterian church, Springfield, Mo.
