PRUilT AND WlLLAHOIN BOUT DEtlMBr.R 8Buddy Pruitt, the C. C. C. boxing champion, will fight Paul Willard, well known battler from Peppcrton, in the main event of a good fight card to be held at the Jackson armory Friday night, December 8, at 8:80. I’ruitt is known to local fans as a last, clever boxer and a terrific puncher with a powerful left hook as his chief weapon. He won his last twelve fights, eight 'by the K. O. route.Willard, a fast, aggressive boxer, is making a comeback after a long layoff with one purpose in mind and that is to stop the winning streak of the C. C. C. champion, and he is favored by many to turn this trick.Both fighters are training steadily and will hold public workouts at the armory every day next week at 4 p. m., along with the other fighters on the card.The semi-final between Buck Manning and Van Smith promises to rival the main go for action. Both boys are well known for their punching ability. There will be three preliminaries, all full of action.The show will start promptly at 8:30, with admission 15 and 25 centsAand ringside seats at 35 cents. A large crowd is expected to attend.
