Wings Over Jordan Now Has Two BussesNEW YORK—Wings Over Jordan, Negro choir, has £ound a unique solution to one of the many problems involved in making a concert appearance in a different town every day of the year. ^Ordinarily, an organization which* must travel for performances has sufficient time between engagements to keep its transportation ingood repair. This .does not apply to WINGS OVER JORDAN because the demand for engagements cannot be met even though it has been on continuous tour since March of 1946. Rev. Glenn T. Settle, originator and director of the organization evolved a plan which keeps the choir on schedule for its performances. Wings Over Jordan^ bought two busses instead of one*This transportation plan is especially essential in the case of Wings Over Jordan because it is often necessary to travel several hundred miles to a studio of the Columbia Broadcasting System. Although the coast-to-coast broadcastings every Sunday at 11:05 a. m. EDST originate from a different city every week, Wings Over Jordan is always in the studio hours before broadcast time.
