Settle, Jr., son of the founder of the choir, and business manager of the Cleveland office* told the Call and Post, that he had no official statement to make regarding the situation of the choir. He admitted that he was seeking /replacements for some members of the choir which is now appearing in El Paso, Texas.The choir will be on the air Sunday' said Settle, Jr., “we still have a choir.**1The local business manager refused to say how many replacements were being sent to the Texas city and indicated that any statement on the matter W'ouldhave to come from his father. He said that the Associated Negro Press had released a story concerning a “revolt which did not come from official sources. You can say that the cuoir is not destroyed’ said Settle, Jr., that is all I can say on the record.”No Comment John Carpenter, a Cleveland member of the choir, who left the musical ensemble two weeks ago during appearances in .California,when contacted, refused to make any statement.
