For Tuesday the alligator population of Lubbock was increased by one.On the theory* that the name may be either masculine or feminine and In an attempt to avoid the cumbrous titl* that is worn by Oscar (Oscarina)» R. B. Fairly, who has this latest arrival, chose the name of Nira. The alligator was sent by Mrs. Fairly, who is visiting tn Florida.To Mr. Fairly, who was pondering aliigitor diets and care Tuesday afternoon, Nira was presenting a problem. To Oscar (Oscarina), whose companion so far has been only a water snake, Nira should be a welcome addition to the town.
