GREAT SUCCESSThe annual MeKean County' Pomona i Grange* Farm Bureau Picnic, was stag-ed at ’he Coryvllle picnic grounds last Thursday', with an approximate attendance of 1200 people. Athletic• events, including two baseball games,barnyard golf, a pig “Rassle** and box-ing were features of the day, as was j also a most interesting and forceful address by Dr John M. Thomas, President of the Pennsylvania State College. The Smethport orchestra helped to keep everybody happy all day and in the evening played for a dance at the Coryville Orange Hall.From the middle of the morning, when the crowd began to arrive until late in the afternoon, there was nota moment in which there was noteime'hing of interest to be done or watched. Six concessions, including a refreshment stand, cane rack, blanketlottery, hot doggery' and bulUthrowing r ick were on hand and close by Mc-Kean County’s expew horseshoe-throwers vied for the County Championship. and the silver cup awardedto the Grange producing the best barnyard golfer.
